Welcome to the Virtual Learning Academy (VLA)

Join us on Facebook!

The Virtual Learning Academy is a blended, face-to-face and interactive on-line public high school that is free for all.  Our school offers a comprehensive, individualized, and rigorous approach to high school education in a small school setting.  Students can attend school every day if they choose.

Watch a presentation that outlines the Virtual Learning Academy. Please click here if you would like to request more information. If you prefer, you can call us at (916) 928-5343 x1020 to set up an individual meeting during school hours (Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm) so that you can see the campus in action.

At VLA, students are able to experience individual support, teacher developed curriculum, and student interaction with the added benefit of more interactive curriculum and real world assignments. If you are interested in enrolling in VLA for Spring semester 2017, please fill out the CURRENT YEAR 2016-2017 Virtual Learning Academy (VLA) Application. Registration forms are now available online!  Click the appropriate link below to complete your new or returning student's registration.  FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY FRIDAY, AUGUST 19TH IN ORDER TO AVOID A DELAY IN ENROLLMENT.

Here is some helpful information about the online registration:

  • In any area where a signature is required, simply hold down the button on your mouse and drag your cursor to sign.
  • You will notice that some areas of the form will not have a space for you to fill in your information. These areas will auto-populate when it is submitted with the information you have provided on a previous page.
  • Once the form is complete, you will be directed to a page that says "Thank you for submitting your registration". This is your confirmation that we have received your registration. You will not receive a confirmation email. Please do not send your registration more than once.

If you have any questions regarding registration and/or the online forms, please contact Cheryl Igel at cigel@natomascharter.org
